We're halfway there.....

So, after 3 episodes of The Greart British Sewing Bee we have seen Annie, Alex and Neela leave the Sewing Room leaving just 7 sewers, 4 of which are men! Could this be the year that we see a male sewing champion?

The series has seen some really tough challenges so far! From little tiny bespoke waistcoats with welt pockets to the so called 'Walk Away' 50s dress which was supposedly so simple to create, you could make it in one morning and wear it for luncheon! The sewers have been challenged with re-fashioning a denim shirt, a tee and some old curtains! They've tackled sheer fabric to create a blouse, and also been tasked with creating a 3D garment as well as a stunning dress. The level of skill from sewers this year has been consistently high, with some truly amazing makes appearing on screen.

Tonight's episode sees things get even harder for our amateur sewers. This week they must tackle a boned corset, decontruction of an 80s power suit and finally, making a traditional kilt from scratch. All of this while under pressure and on limited time. Will they pull it off? Who will go home this week? We want to wish all of the sewers the best of luck with this very tough challenges!
